Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Luscious Dumplings is a welcome addition to San Antonioβs growing culinary scene. Founded in California and known for its handcrafted dumplings, the restaurant delivers on its reputation with a kitchen that clearly values technique over shortcuts. The Crab and Pork Soup Dumplings immediately set the tone. Each dumpling arrived nearly identical in size and shape, evidence of careful hand craftsmanship rather than mass production. The wrappers were delicate yet sturdy enough to hold a generous amount of rich, flavorful broth. The filling was well seasoned, balanced, and exactly what a soup dumpling should be. The Dan Dan Noodles were equally impressive. Fresh noodles carried a sauce with bright chili flavor, creamy nuttiness, and the unmistakable tingling sensation from Sichuan peppercorns. The roasted peanuts added texture and another layer of flavor without distracting from the dish. The scallion pancake was thin, crisp, and beautifully flaky with just the right amount of scallion throughout. It leaned slightly greasy, perhaps from the laminated dough, but remained enjoyable and disappeared quickly. The vegetable dishes demonstrated that the kitchen doesnβt reserve its attentio

OMG. Luscious Dumplings was SO GOOD. This was one of those meals where everything that hit the table had us going, βokayβ¦ THAT is amazing too.β π The dumplings are ridiculously good, packed with flavor, tender, juicy, and absolutely worth coming for on their own. But then the noodles came out and somehow managed to compete for my favorite part of the meal. Seriously delicious. Even the edamame was seasoned beautifully. And can we talk about the presentation? Everything came out looking gorgeous. The dishes, plating, little details, even the chopsticks made the whole experience feel thoughtful and elevated without being stuffy. The staff was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is adorable. I obviously had to get a picture of the giant dumpling. π If youβre in San Antonio and love dumplings, noodles, or just really, really good food, GO. Come hungry, order more than you think you need, share everything, and prepare to argue over which dish was the best. We will absolutely be back. π₯β€οΈ

First time here and I can say it has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. We had the crab and pork dumplings- steamed. Oh my goodness they were delicious. I also ordered the combination lo mein- ok those noodles were perfection! The beef steamed stew with noodles was so delicious. If that wasnβt enough, our server Samantha was spectacular- she took the time to go over the menu and answered my many questions. Overall, amazing!

Absolutely amazing spot! We went a little crazy but it was all worth it. It was a rainy day so their soup dumplings were perfect. The stewed pork belly was also good, and the meat was very tender. We also enjoyed their pan fried dumplings and shumai. We also did their blind box boba and our daughter loved their little capybara surprise toy. We capped our meal with the incredible Mango Bingsu. Everything we had was great and had large servings. It was also very busy when we went but all our items got served very quickly, and they were very accommodating towards our kids. It felt so cozy and warm to contrast the rainy weather outside. Additionally, the convenience of being able to join the waitlist via Yelp! was a great bonus. We're definitely coming back and maybe trying out their fun drinks next time!
